Our story
Welcome to Skuce Shoes, the passion project of artisan Kirsten Skuce, a seamstress-turned-shoemaker.

Kiri's creative journey began in Ottawa ON, where, as a teenager, she discovered an affinity for working with her hands and promptly abandoned previous plans for an academic career. After pursuing formal education in costume design and gaining invaluable experience working for Cirque du Soleil, Kiri's path led her to the challenging and intriguing world of shoemaking. From 2019 to 2021, she honed her skills on British Columbia's west coast, working for several different shoemaking companies. The turning point came in 2021 with the arrival of her first child, which inspired her to channel her expertise into creating high-quality, handcrafted baby shoes. Soon after, Kiri returned to her roots in Montreal, QC and established a workshop dedicated to crafting footwear.
